CURRICULUM VITAE DR. MURTHA BACA

Murtha Baca is head of the Vocabulary Program at the Getty Research Institute, where she oversees the production and dissemination of the Art & Architecture Thesaurus (AAT®), Getty Thesaurus of Geographic Names (TGN®), and Union List of Artist Names (ULAN®). She holds a PhD in art history and Italian language and literature from the University of California, Los Angeles. Her publications as editor include Introduction to Metadata (revised edition, 2008) and Introduction to Art Image Access (2002). She was a co-editor of Cataloging Cultural Objects: a Guide to Describing Cultural Works and Their Images (Chicago: American Library Association, 2006). Dr. Baca teaches graduate courses on metadata and thesaurus construction in the Department of Information Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and has taught numerous workshops and seminars on cultural heritage documentation at institutions in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Latin America.

 

CURRICULUM VITAE MR. HERNAN RODRIGUEZ

Hernán Rodríguez Villegas holds a degree in architecture from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and a postgraduate course in monuments and sites restoration from the PNUD/UNESCO, Cusco, Perú. He is head of the Museo Andino de la Fundación Claro Vial since 2005. Has performed duties in charge of the Oficina de Inventario de Patrimonio Cultural, PNUD/Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes during 1975-1976, Director of the Museo Histórico Nacional between 197-1993, Cultural Manager of Fundación Andes between 1993-2005, has hold the position of Director for Master degree in History and Cultural Heritage Management Program - Universidad de Los Andes during 2005-2008, and nowadays teacher in this Master program. He has been awarded with the Ernest Pinto Lagarrigue (Amigos del Arte) prize in 2000 and is full memember for the Academia Chilena de la Historia and Instituto de Chile, boardmember of the Corporación del Patrimonio Cultural, Corporación Artequín Espacio para el Arte and Fundación Larraín Echenique.
